10-core Intel® Core™ i7 Extreme Edition is launched in Taiwan

Intel’s most powerful ever 10-core processor for desktop PCs helps maximize gaming and content creation effectiveness

Celebrating the launch of Intel® Core i7 Extreme Edition in Taiwan, Intel Taiwan held a press conference and a consumer experience event for the company’s first 10-core processor for desktop PCs at the Syntrend Creative Park in Taipei. The consumer experience event had four high-fidelity entertainment demonstration areas. The event was hosted by the famous host A-Ken, the popular live broadcast hostess Mira and well-known e-sports player Xargon were invited to the event as well.

g1_photo-1At the Syntrend Creative Park in Taipei, Intel Taiwan held a press conference and consumer experience event for the launch of Intel® Core i7 Extreme Edition in Taiwan. The experience event had four demonstration areas on different themes: 360-degree panoramic entertainment, virtual reality, gaming, and overclocking, inviting visitors to get a hands-on experience in Intel’s most powerful ever 10-core processor for desktop PCs.
g1_photo-2Georgine Lin, Director of Sales and Marketing Group at Intel Taiwan, introduced how Intel® Core i7 brings in unprecedented execution effectiveness and extremely high speed to gamers and content creators, announcing that Intel and its distribution channel partners would provide a game package to any buyer of Intel® Core i7 Extreme Edition through August 31. The distribution channel partners would also provide gaming mice and three-year antivirus software as giveaways to buyers.

 

Intel® Core i7 Extreme Edition is designed for multi-threaded workload with up to 10 cores and 20 threads., up to four independent graphic cards can be added to the processor and supports Thunderbolt 3.0 to withstand the heaviest operating load. Revolutionizing PC users’ past experiences, Intel® Core i7 Extreme Edition shortens computing time remarkably and is the best mega-tasking choice for today’s gamers and content creators.

g1_photo-3Popular live broadcast hostess Mira and the well-known e-sports player Xargon played “Tom Clancy’s The Division” in the Intel® Core i7 Extreme Edition gaming area to experience the exquisite and smooth visuals enabled by the extra-powerful processor.

g1_photo-4The 360-degree panoramic entertainment area had thirty digital single lens cameras connected to provide 360-degree panoramic views from different angles concurrently, with Intel® Core i7 Extreme Edition desktop PC support for post editing and production of 360-degree panoramic videos. The videos could be previewed from any angle, fast forwarded, or slowly played to capture the most precious instants.

 

Four high-fidelity entertainment demonstration areas:

360-degree panoramic entertainment area: Thirty digital single lens cameras were connected in this area to provide 360-degree panoramic views from different angles concurrently with Intel® Core i7 Extreme Edition desktop PC support for post editing and production of 360-degree panoramic videos. The videos could be previewed from any angles, fast forwarded, or slowly played to capture the most precious instants.

The virtual reality area provided games including “Zen Blade” and “Project Tres” as a hands-on virtual reality experience supported by Intel® Core™  i7-6800KProcessor as well as Intel® X99 Chipset to make the gaming experience even smoother. Various flexible I/O interfaces with video capture card, action camera, and HTC VIVE connection also helped create a high-fidelity virtual reality experience.

 

Virtual reality area: The virtual reality area provided two virtual reality games, “Zen Blade” and “Project Tres”. “ZenBlade” is a ninja sword skill action game enabling bare-handed watermelon cutting and a mixed reality effect by real-time chroma keying. “Project Tres” – developed by leading game development company Winking Entertainment – resurrects the history of the Three Kingdoms period in ancient China with detailed and lifelike scenes and rich interactive scenarios. The PCs in this area equipped with Intel® Core i7-6800K Processor and the high-speed Intel® X99 Chipset made the gaming even more smoother. Various flexible I/O interfaces with video capture card, action camera, and HTC VIVE connection also helped create a high-fidelity virtual reality experience.

 

Gaming area: The area demonstrated 2 games, “Tom Clancy’s The Division” and “Moonlight Blade”, which were played on Intel® Corei7 Extreme Edition PCs to showcase enhanced high-level graphic card effectiveness enabled by 10-core computing. Moreover, the 12K-resolution screens here provided very smooth and lifelike scenes to players.

In the overclocking area, all the models of Intel® Core i7 Extreme Edition are unlocked which enable players to enjoy extra flexibility of frequency multiplier and external frequency tuning during overclocking. An overclocking expert demonstrated how to use liquid nitrogen for rapid CPU cooling, pushing the CPU frequency to the limit to maximize CPU performance.

 

Overclocking area: All the models of Intel® Core i7 Extreme Edition are unlocked which enable players to enjoy extra overclocking flexibility of frequency multiplier and external frequency tuning. An overclocking expert demonstrated how to use liquid nitrogen for rapid CPU cooling, pushing the CPU frequency to the limit to maximize CPU performance.
