The year 2014 witnesses various exciting breakthroughs made by Intel in many areas, including the wearable technology exhibited at the 2014 International Consumer Electronics Show as well as the Make It Wearable Challenge by Intel to encourage creative talents around the world to submit their works and together promote wearable technology innovation. Moreover, the new Intel® RealSense™ technology enables the world's first and smallest integrated 3D depth and 2D camera module that helps devices capture the depth of field as same as seen by human eyes, effectively applying technology to daily life. At the Mobile World Congress, the 64-bit Intel® Atom™(凌動™)processor for smart phones and tablets was announced, offering stronger 64-bit performance was well as improved battery life. Intel’s new LTE platform that supports LTE-Advanced standards was also disclosed at the Mobile World Congress.
Intel is as committed to corporate social responsibilities as it is to technology advancement. Celebrating the International Women’s Day, the Women at Intel Network held a charity bazaar, and all the incomes from the bazaar were donated to the Garden of Hope Foundation to help underprivileged children and women in Taiwan. Continuing our company’s tradition for years, more than 100 employees at Intel Taiwan took part in the World Vision Taiwan’s Twelve-Hour Famine Campaign again this year, experiencing how hungry people feel and donating money to help the children suffering from famine.
